A Specifiers%u2019 Guide 2025-2026 1%u201cThe Leading Authority on Natural Stone%u201dIntroductionWELCOME to the Stone Federation Natural Stone Source Book. This guide is designed to be both inspirational and educational, providing the information and creative stimulation required for successful completion of your natural stone project. Whether you are involved in a new build development or a restoration job, an interiors project or a landscape contract, this source book is your comprehensive reference point.Stone is a unique, beautiful building material and has a versatility that other materials struggle to match. You only need to glance through a selection of the projects our members have worked on and you%u2019ll see the vast array of applications possible. It is a mark of respect that so many other materials attempt to copy the charm of stone through their use of misleading terms such as %u2018cast%u2019 stone or %u2018stone-effect%u2019. There is only one natural stone and you%u2019ll find that quarried or mined direct from the ground, where it has been created by natural processes over many thousands of years. No two pieces of natural stone will be exactly the same, and when embraced, this unique material can provide a wealth of options in both texture and colour. This Natural Stone Source Book is an invaluable tool for architects, designers, specifiers and clients alike. It contains a complete list of all Federation members, each of whom have been vetted and approved. You can have total confidence and peace of mind that when you employ the services of a member company, you are using a competent natural stone professional who is backed by the services offered by Stone Federation, the official trade association for the natural stone industry. As well as this printed guide, we also offer an online member search facility found at www.stonefed.org.uk.STONE FEDERATIONGREAT BRITAINChannel Business CentreIngles ManorCastle Hill AvenueFolkestoneKent CT20 2RDT 01303 856123E enquiries@stonefed.org.ukW www.stonefed.org.ukCHIEF EXECUTIVEJane Buxey LLB (Hons)MARKETING & MEDIA MANAGERMatt RobbMEMBERSHIP & EVENTS COORDINATORLucy RichardsonADMINISTRATORSara AtkinsonFINANCE ADMINISTRATORJemma WilsonSCOTTISH SECTIONSECRETARYJohn McKinney01721 729309FSS-Apps@outlook.com
